Car wont start wjats the deal.?

So i have a 1994 chevy blazer s 10 that wont start. at first it would run if u just tightened the connection to the battery now it just clicks when u go to turn it on wont even turn over. Weve even tried connecting jumber cables and now its kinda startin to smoke..still wont start
