Speeding in a school zone in PA?
i was going 26 mph in a 15 mph school zone and i got cited for it. the officer told me to plead not guilty and send the citation to the courthouse with a $50 fee. the actual fine was not specified on the ticket. the incident happened April 1 (this year) and my court date in May 23. he said since it was a school zone, it would typically be around a $300 fine and a 90 suspension of your license. but rather he said to plead not guilty and it would be around $100 plus court costs and no suspension. i'm nervous that my license will be suspended for the summer and i'll be stuck with a big fine. like i said i was going 26. the area is typically a 25 zone but i didn't notice the school zone lights because i was actually on my way to school myself and had a test (that i ended up being late to). so my mind was somewhere else and i know that's not an excuse so don't bash me for that please. what can i expect in court??
