Simple formaldehyde detection?

I have a beautiful blanket but I fear of contaminated with high level of formaldehyde. I do not have any suspicious symptoms like skin rash or difficulties of breathing, but I just use it briefly and I put the blanket away in storage. Is there a simple way to see if the blanket has dangerous level of formaldehyde? By simple I mean, without using commercial test kit and mail it to the lab. So far I have not known there is one. Because this is just for a blanket.
