Given that an extremist muslim group has delcared a jihad against the US, does Obamma's religion concern you?

I don't know how deep-rooted Obamma's faith and devotion to his religion are. Given that a muslim movement has declared jihad against the west, do you have any concerns about Obamma and his religion? I also read a headline to an article in the news that said that Obamma would like the US to attend a conference of muslim nations. Which makes me ask the question, why would the US want to attend a conference of Muslim nations when America isn't a Muslim nation? I don't know enough about him. Tell me if my concerns are not valid and why. Educate me.
