Could I have some help with original ideas of how to increase average time spent on site?

I work for an internet outfit who run their own online bingo products and also act as an affiliate. At the moment customers on average spend 5 to 6 minutes on the main site before either going on to play a game or off the page totally. Is this high?? If not how can I please help with original ideas on how this can be increased?
