How can I sue someone?

Hello I am a DJ I got hired at a House party 10 minutes after arrive to the place 6 criminals came to the house and they start fighting the owners one of them punch one of my crew member and stole the laptop from him and the funny part is that they are neighbors can I sue them for losses and damages. due that this is my business and I am loosing money. what can I do please advise me.
