We condemn war and yet are happy to live comfortably in society in which military plays a major part, ?

This is a very interesting question. But you should ask this on behalf of the world as a society not just one country. If you look at it in this manor then the "answers" may become more clear. In the history of the world there have been countless wars. Some are note-able others are lost int he sands of time. However, I think you are looking at it on a small scale and just seeing it as war. Really I think it is the violence that comes from war. Its one of our basic primal urges. TV, Movies, Music, literature, video games, etc... all of these genera's have a relationship with violence in some way shape and form. So ask yourself this. If there was less war would there be more violence on the streets and in the news at home, or would there be less?
